Sexy In the City 2011

Sexy in the City 2011
Photographer Bob Johnson created the first Sexy In The City calendar in 2010. After he started his calendar project, he connected with Aryn Quinn, founder and CEO of Beauty Cares, an organization with a mission to end the cycle of domestic violence.

Bob knew immediately that this calendar would be an excellent vehicle to raise awareness and funds to help Beauty Cares break the cycle of domestic violence.

Back in the 1950s, Bob’s grandmother Eleanore (pictured, in sun glasses) took her own strong, bold stand against domestic violence. Unheard of in those days, she kicked her abusive husband out of her home, divorced him and, as a single mother, raised her two children.

The men of the calendar have roots around the country and world (South Carolina, Brazil, Russia, more.) and all have been so generous with their time and talent. It speaks volumes that these Real Men are devoting their time and talents to take a stand for women and children.

Bob is excited that his art is contributing to the end of domestic violence.
